Tanya has 15 years experience
as a procurement practitioner, holding senior
positions in a multinational building and construction
company and the NSW State Government, where
she negotiated multi-million dollar supply agreements,
built a procurement function and established
a consulting practice. Tanya is well qualified
to assist businesses in reviewing, developing
and operating their procurement functions and
has developed an extensive toolkit of resources
to assist procurement teams improve their effectiveness.
As a consultant, Tanya has
assisted large, medium and small companies and
organisations to improve sourcing and purchasing
systems, processes and structures. Beginning
with a review of current situation, Tanya explores
options for companies to establish or re-invigorate
procurement operations to ensure that their
contribution to company objectives is maximised.
Tanya works with her clients to implement improvement
projects, including recruitment of key personal,
systems implementation and other change management
strategies. Tanya also provides operational
support to companies by acting in key roles,
as required.

As a Procurement Development Manager,
Tanya supported the development of a large nationally-based
procurement team. In doing so, she worked with the team
to establish the enabling foundations for procurement;
including developing procurement strategy, processes,
team capabilities and competencies, technological foundations
(Procure to Pay and e-Procurement), data and performance
management and communications.
As a Procurement Manager Tanya developed
and implemented of a suite of multi-million dollar strategic
sourcing agreements delivering significant cost and
efficiency savings to the business both in terms of
reductions in total cost and through demand management,
some of these include:
- Telecommunications
- Raw Material Supply
- Freight & Logistics
- Labour
- Repairs, Maintenance and Operating Supplies and
Services, and more.
As the Principal Consultant in a Procurement Consultancy,
Tanya led project teams providing procurement consulting
services to a broad range of Public Sector and Local
Government clients, including:
- Roads and Traffic Authority
- NSW Police Service
- Department of Health
- Department of School Education and Training
- Department of Juvenile Justice
- Department of Fair Trading
- Department of Ageing and Disabilities
- Randwick City Council.
These consultancies involved the research, design,
recommendation and implementation of change management
strategies for her clients.
